That would be harsh even by NCMs (low) standards. At least give the new manager a month or so before we discuss getting rid of him#viva

Andy Reid being talked up, I think would be a decent choice and would sort the midfield out with bringing through players like Yates.

    Yeah, I saw that:

Perfect for us. Would prob fit the Bros criteria to a T?

''Reid, 39, has no senior management experience but has a strong pedigree in youth development having taken over from Chris Cohen as head coach of Forest's Under-23s in September 2020''.

Yeah he would fit their criteria and he'll know alot of good young players at various clubs who could improve us. He'll also know we need steel and height etc especially in non league. He's good at his job apparently and I would be much happier with this choice than someone from abroad who needs time to adjust. We need to get someone in soon as, the close season goes quickly.

These owners are so hard to call. They went left field with Burchnall's appointment. Will they do the same again, or go for a manager with an English leagues track record? Or a coach like Reid?

I'm guessing Reid wants the job and his agent is in the ear of local journalists to raise his profile. The article in the NEP certainly smacks of that.

Brexit will make it difficult for an overseas coach to get a job with us unless they're already established here in some way or have family here.

It's quite refreshing having absolutely no idea who our next manager will be, certainly not like the old days when the same group of managers were routinely sacked then appointed elsewhere.

Can’t see it being Andy Reid yes he is a coach but he hasn’t coached a first team where the pressure is on.

I for one don’t want him here.

Ha ha ha! I couldn't agree more. It was like a rogues' gallery. The same group of serial failures bandied around.

It depends who they have with him as assistant.

IF we did get Reid, imagine the possibilities in terms of access to Forest’s academy. Clearly, I wouldn’t want to be just developing their pool of talent, but having 2 or 3 of their best prospects can’t be a bad thing. We had 4 players on loan at the end of the season anyway.
It also allows Notts to utilise the playing budget and hopefully get the experienced players we crave for in key areas.

True but he has no experience of managing a senior side if people didn’t like Burchnall then they won't like Reid.

Being a red as well if he doesn’t get off to a good start well we can see how that will play out.

I’d rather we stayed away from him to be honest
