Brexit has pushed European immigration down since 2016, and I don't recall ever seeing a figure of 1m being thrown about. And I would argue we share many values with our fellow Europeans, which is why Brexit is such a shame.

I don't know anyone, or have ever myself, been shamed for waiving the Union Jack. How many times have you been to London? Because I live here, it is very much an English city with rich culture from the many people from different backgrounds and heritage who live here. Our national dish is an Indian curry.

But flipping it back to you as you talk about 'common sense'. I have no idea why any sane person would consider it a good idea to have unfettered access to guns. I have my values and identity, they include keeping children safe at school. It includes feeling safe when I walk into a supermarket or down the street. I can't quite understand your logic, nor many millions of Americans who think more access to guns is the solution. as
I am American and live in the Chicago area. Those figures came from the UK government. You'll find they're correct. You elected Tories to push through #Brexit and secure your borders, but immigration increased, especially since COVID (while you were locked down, your borders were wide open). The BBC won't tell you that, any more than they will tell you about the 17,000 annual cases of child grooming that Sajid Javid found.

In the 2011 Census London had 45% native English. The Tories are delaying publishing the results of the 2021 Census as long as possible because they will be devastating. London and Birmingham will have large non-English majorities and are heading for 4/5 non-English populations in time for the 2031 Census, should there be one. As your country changes, so go your rights. Free speech is less important than not offending your guests and benefactors. Your right to defend yourselves must go because gangs of feral youth commit crimes in cities which are no longer yours. When the mobs came to burn down your homes in 2011, the police turned tail and ran.

I know none of this makes sense to you. We are sitting on opposite sides of a paradigm shift.
