It's a bit more complex than that unfortunately in my opinion that is .
As you point out players wages increase but the revenue streams at clubs like ours not so much .
For a start the tv contract and share is generally a four year deal , in other words you get the same money for four consecutive championship season's whilst players wages continue to rise .
There very little growth in our clubs , same fan base , same South Yorkshire economy so any ST increases have to be at a minimum , you might get the odd bit of shirt sponsorship change and a few extra bucks but it's not likely to change anything of great significance .
The championship is a real head banger for both our clubs , it's probably the most financially unfair league in the world .
The ex PL parachute payment clubs and the bankrolled clubs to compete against whilst the promoted league one clubs get only £8m .
That said there has to be a degree of speculate to accumulate in order to try and survive .
