I wasn't aware of that Chris, but if he was and he turned it down it makes it obvious he wants away, or if he wasn't offered one, it's obvious the club want him away.

Either way, the obvious conclusion is that Ben is on his bike.

I would imagine it's all about the money, we'll be paying Ben top dollar and under ALK that will have to be vastly reduced, and he can take the cut, or leave.

According to that it was a late offer, which is an insult to a player of Ben's standing at the club, and there is no doubt it involved a pay cut. No wonder he's leaving, I can think of no reason why he would want to stay. Good luck to him, offering him a contract, almost as an afterthought, is no way to treat the lad.

I think all of our last season players who want away should be allowed to go.

For any of them to say they are too good for the "Championship" they need to give their head a wobble, last season proved that as a team they were not good enough for the "Premier League", I would exclude Nick Pope who kept us from humiliation in several games.

Unfortunately since we still have not officially got a manager, with only four days until the transfer window opens it would appear that our beloved club is in a bit of a shambles at the present time.
