The majority of terrestrial TV programmes are appalling. There are the odd exceptions but they are very few and far between. Game shows, so called talent shows, cooking, pottery, art, sewing and gardening competitions, reality shows with celebrities who I've never heard of, programmes on health issues etc. What's happened to all the good drama, sit coms., documentaries, sport that used to be served up? As I say, there are one or two but not enough to warrant the price of the licence. I realise that's only BBC related but the ITV programmes are no better and you can hardly claim that you never watch BBC, although it's a very tempting thought!
