No Confidence Vote - Complete Farce!

No fan of Boris but who the f uck do these MP’s think they are calling for a vote of no confidence!!! We are helping Ukraine with horrific aggression from Russia and to be fair - Boris has done well and been far more of a leader than t wats like Macron and others! Also 14 million people voted for Johnson so why do 60 or so MP’S feel they have a right to overturn this!!! If Boris gets hammered at the ballot box later then so be it!

What he did was wrong but f uckin hell but some perspective on this - loads of celebrities and footballers were doing the same thing! I bet Starmer the hypocrite did too!

Not the time for a change at all and these rebel MP’S can go f uck themselves!

We have a constitution, built up over hundreds of years, so that we don't become a dictatorship or too reliant on one person.

Its important that is followed for that reason. I also heard the joke that is Nadine Dorries (who actually votes for these people?) say something similar to you, that 14m people voted for Boris Johnson. That is simply not true. They voted for their local MP, who is part of a party, to be their voice. So if they are disillusioned with anything, in this case the PM, their MP can reflect that with a no confidence letter or vote, like this. The polls do say that even Tory voters are unhappy with BJ, so the MPs are doing their jobs according to their mandate.

He has, and is, eroding trust in the fundamental parts of our constitution - which is our independent judiciary, civil service, ministerial code of conduct - which he has broken time and again, I could go on and on. He is corrupt, self serving, lying and incompetent - and he always has been. So I'm not sure why Tory MPs are changing their tune now - probably more likely because he is behind in the polls rather than any noble act of morality.

I don't like BJ, obviously. But I think he'll win enough votes this evening and I hope he does. I'm really hoping he destroys the Tory vote for future years and generations - and if it takes another couple of years of suffering for him to do that then so be it.

I don’t like him either but the time to make the change surely is the ballot box. Not the time to change now with what’s going on in Ukraine in my view! God forbid we could get a new leader like a Macron who comes out with pathetic comments such as Putin should not be humiliated! Putin should be hung for atrocities such as execution, torture and rape which is en par with Hitler!

The problem will always be until Labour sort themselves out there is no viable alternative! If Starmer came out with some new initiatives or good points then great but he’s obsessed with Partygate! I am sure he didn’t obey the law either!

You can’t have this both ways 123.

You say that 14 million people didn’t vote for Boris but voted for constituency MP’s and in the next breath you say the same people who don’t like Boris register their displeasure at Bi Elections.

Talk about Starmer facing both ways at the same time!!

The fact is that very few people have a local MP who they know of or who is a real character who brings in votes such as the poor bloke or the lady up north who were both murdered by nutters.

People vote for the top man.

Blair and Boris being exactly the type that attracted the vote.

People fall in love with them and then over time when they f u c k up the Bi Election defeats rack up and eventually a resignation or election defeat sees them gone.

It is pretty much always about the person heading a party.

Boris is a likeable but untrustworthy bloke ( from my point of view ) and he lies like a child and without the slightest regret, very probably a sociopath.

The problem for the Tory’s now is that they can’t win an outright election in two years with him in charge or with any of the potential leadership candidates.

People, especially younger people will want change after 12 years and we will then have to suffer 5 to 10 years of a Labour, Liberal, SNP f u c k fest.

The Libs are going to demand a referendum on going back into the Eu as part of any pact and then back down once ministerial cars are being offered.

It’s going to by quite interesting seeing my business get f u c k e d by this coalition but considering Sunak’s plans for taxation etc it may not be much worse although I’m sure they’ll do their best to ensure it is.

We are run by morons of every political persuasion so I’m pretty much past caring at almost 61.

This will probably sound hypocritical. Yes people tend to vote for the leaders of the parties - but its not true to suggest 14m people voted for BJ, as that's not how our constitution works.

I do hope you're right about the LDs demanding a referendum to go back into the EU. I have a LD MP who I'm very happy with, but they have an opportunity here to take some seats off the Tories in the next GE. And if there is a coalition Govt they have a real position of power - they need to use it better than they did last time.

Also not so sure why you consider your business being worse off in a LD / Lab / Green coalition than under the Tories - who have increased corporation tax /dividend tax substantially and driven us to a terrible Brexit for their own self interest. How much worse can it get?

Brexit has turned out to be wonderful for my business despite the extra paperwork.

Corporation Tax is only just now starting to inch upwards and I suspect Sunak or his successor will be forced to scrap the future increases due.

Any Leftie coalition will immediately stick it right up and try to bleed businesses dry as well as soaking the so called rich.

    Parties always revert to type.

Trivial drivel in comparison to what’s going on in the world.

Sickened to see the other week the Johnny Dep and Those footballers wives sitcom grabbing the headlines on most media channels the same day that the Russians broke the Ukraine lines at Popasna obliterating all in their way.

I think it’s another example of the self-interests of politicians to be honest.

Nothing to do with a genuine lack of confidence but ceasing on any opportunity to oust the leader and then throw their hat in.
Lots of whispering and plotting in the corridors of power as always.

The tory party are famous for it but the other are not much better either

Makes me angry all of it

I can’t understand folk having unwavering support for Labour over the Tory’s these days. You hear it so often “my father’s father was a labour voter, my father was a labour voter and I’m a labour voter”. BJ and his entourage absolutely smack of lies but I don’t see that as an overall for the whole party. I’d happily vote for a decent Tory cabinet.

Labour aren’t any more a leftist party as Tory’s are no longer a party for the right. Both have come to the conclusion that centrist approaches will get you in power as that’s what leaves people more comfortable. I also struggle to see how Labour would have handled key issues differently over the years.

I pretty much agree with your thoughts here Matt.

What puts me off Labour ( although I voted twice for Blair ) is the loony Left side of the party and all the Wokes they attract.

I hate being lectured on how to live my life, this really is the preserve of the Left in general, they always know best for you.

The loonies are always lurking in the background at Labour unfortunately.

Pity Starmer has no policies or b o l l o c k s because he actually seems like a decent sort of bloke without any nutter tendencies.

Nothing but a perfect prime minister will do. We will end up with someone who would NEVER eat cake and have a drink at no 10 and probably be incapable of doing anything else. (And of course there will be something wrong with that too)
