There were also huge queues outside Pawn Brokers on corner, again mainly Roma, on top of that town was full of beggars and gangs of young adults looking for opportunities ? working the streets, using mobiles to inform each other, it really was horrible with lots and lots of very poor people on Effingham St !! No sign of any police or council officials to keep order, it was like a lawless society ? Dodge (y) City springs to mind !
The council invited all this lot to our town,provided accommodation and now it's their town.Nobody wants to come in the town centre.I feel sorry for the genuine shopkeepers who stayed as long as possible,it's dead and gone now.
