1. First game and any memories of it
Can't remember the exact one, but it was an evening game in the late 1970 or early 1971 season and we won.
2. Best performance you've been to (or listened to if you can't get to games)
Has to be the cup win at Leeds in 1975. It might not sound that impressive today, but in those days Leeds were like Man City are now but even more dominant. We went away and beat a full strength Leeds who were the best team in the land.
3. Worst performance
Unfortunately so, so many choices! I would go for one of the 0-1 home defeats when McParland was manager when we lost to a really poor team without having a worthwhile attempt on goal ourselves, and it was hard to stay awake.
4. Best moment as a Notts supporter
Probably the aforementioned win at Leeds, but Les Bradd's 89th minute winner at the City Ground comes a close second. The journey back from both games have lasting memories. When we stopped off at a service station on the way back from Elland Road (quite a short journey but a few needed a 'relief' break) I remember a bloke who had clearly celebrated in style telling a petrol pump that "Notts have just beaten Leeds"! When we won at Forest I always caught the bus home from the long gone Mount Street bus station. I never made a slower walk back than that day, because listening to the whinging scum fans was music to my ears and something I remember to this day.
5. Worst moment
Relegation to non-league by some distance. We had flirted with it, but I never thought it would actually happen.
6. Funniest moment
Not strictly Notts, but finding out that Forest had lost at home to Yeovil in the playoffs. They won the away leg 0-2 and I went on holiday the day of the second leg. This was the game the infamous "Where are you sitting at Wembley?" quote started. I only knew they had lost when seeing Yeovil play Blackpool in the final in a Turkish bar, but I've enjoyed the highlights many, many times.
7. The player you've enjoyed the most (not necessarily the best)
Enjoyed the most and the best - Sir Don Masson.
8. How you came to be a Notts supporter
A combination of youthful rebellion where you don't do what you're expected to do, and a love for the underdog. Despite current league positions, if I could turn the clock back I would do exactly the same.
9. Sum up how you feel about Notts in 3 words
Frustrating but addictive.
