I've heard McCartney do smaller gigs fairly recently and his voice was Ok but he really can't do the big shows anymore with lots of numbers. Its not too bad on the "big" songs where the vocals of his band support him but certainly poor on the acoustic stuff. As for Diana Ross, like many older singers, cant disagree that she was poor. I heard Rod Stewart a few years ago and he was good but his voice has deteriorated now too as has Elton's judging from his recent Norwich show.
