I think in the scenario Daniil Medvedev wins Wimbledon (which is a strong possibility, he's ranked world No.1) it wouldn't really matter that he's not competing under the Russian flag as he'd be held up as a hero back home and the Russian media would use his success to boost morale

Ordinarily i'd be completely against banning players due to their nationality but this imo is exceptional circumstances as it's not every day a country with the worlds second strongest military, not to mention nuclear weapons invades it's much smaller neighbour unprovoked. And then goes on to commit atrocities on a near daily basis including what look like war crimes in Irpin, Borodyanka and Bucha

IMO everything possible should be done to put pressure on Putin and his inner circle. Russia should be completely isolated from the international community and become a pariah state until they stop attacking Ukraine

I think all Russian and Belarusian players should be banned from the most prestigious events (the 4 Slams and Indian Wells) but be allowed to compete in the ATP Master's 1000 and other smaller tournaments. Some might think it's harsh on the players but are they really going to suffer that much missing out on thousands and thousands of pounds in prize money?

I'm a tennis fan and enjoy watching Medvedev and Rublev play but some things are more important than sport
