Sunak can f uck off with his non dom princess!
I actually agree with Mick on this, I think it would be better to resign now than be linked with this Government when it does end. It seems like a sinking ship right now. You would surely have a better chance of progressing your career by distancing yourself from this regime.

Which is why Truss saying that she is not resigning, and fully supports the PM seems to me like a political own goal from her.

Pretty much the only thing Boris has done that I agree with him on has been his stance on Ukraine but he and his cabinet have proven themselves severely out of touch with most of the population. I cannot think of anyone else in the Tory party to replace him either who is not tarred by the same elitist brush. Truss once seemed an option but has fast gone down in my estimation .

On the otherhand, Starmer is no leader and Labour is still split with too many far left leaning members. The recent local elections tell it all really. The Tories are doomed but with no viable alternative I forsee tactical voting and a minority LibDem government to come. Yipee!!

We will see about Truss. Many of the public dob't like people who resign bitching about someone like little girls - why can't Sunak and Javid just go gracefully? Starmer's own goal in my view was the constant sniping about Johnson regarding Partygate - so much so he was like a broken record. Starmer now says he would not take us out of the EU! Surely more so now, if Starmer had said we will revisit the EU again he could have gained more support!

Why would anyone take anything Sunak said seriously as he's been waiting to stab Johnson in the back for a long time for obvious reasons. Public opinion turned against him due to being out of touch and his wife's affairs by being a non dom and loving her own country who cozy up to Russia! Hateful man!

Never have I in my lifetime known us to have such a pathetic shower of politicians, I wouldn’t in all honesty trust any of them. We wouldn’t be any worse off for going back to a full blown monarchy ffs shambles..

Boris will not resign, that looks pretty obvious. Of course he should resign but because he's ridden out so many crises he probably thinks that he can ride out this one. As a Tory voter I think that he should go. Far too many lies and loss of public trust. Yes, he's had a difficult period as PM and hasn't done badly but it's all the sleaze and basically corruption that makes his position untenable.

Surely you knew this already before voting for him? Its not like he's changed his character since becoming PM.

It just goes to show the great harm Corbyn did to this country, people would rather vote for a lying, sleezy and corrupt man to be PM than him and we're paying the price for it now.

You are correct 123, people did prefer to vote for Johnson to keep Corbyn out. I still believe, and it does take some believing, that Corbyn would have done more damage to this country than Johnson has. Yes, it does take some believing I know, but that's what I honestly believe.

Certainly did not agree with all of his policies and its not that I would ever want to see him as PM but the Tories and the right wing press did a real hatchet job on Corbyn who for some reason never really stood up for himself to refute some of the rubbish and mis-interpretations thrown at him. That in itself is never a good sign for a would be leader. As for the anti-Semitic allegations I have yet to see any real details about this. My hunch is that the leftist wokey lot in the party got their knickers in a twist over the differences between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism. Remember how Corbyn's plans were ridiculed for being too costly and unaffordable-and then the Tories managed to find (borrow) just as much, if not more, for their own policies? I know that neither the pandemic nor the situation in Ukraine were Boris's doing but he and his government have been clearly seen to have failed on several issues resulting from these two events. Being a likeable buffoon should never have cut it in the first place though.
