I think your being a tad harsh there GP, I mean to those unfamiliar with how these things work, it is logical to wonder why a takeover can it seems happen within a month if one includes the stadium sale, when the administrators have it seems been twiddling their thumbs since last September, despite assurances from them it would be a quick takeover given Derbys potential.

Of course the fact is most likely that there wasn't a suitable bidder or at least one prepared to pay what was required and that as Clowes have said, he didn't really want to buy the club, but was worried that the club would go under with the CK fiasco.

I still have major doubts that Mike Ashley was anything other than the media put two and two together and making four.

Anyway we are where we are and so far some good signings on paper, more to follow just need Curtis to sign on the dotted line!

I'm wondering if he is trying to negotiate an coaching role option at the end of his playing contract? Would have thought with the quality of players coming in he'd be keen to get back on board for one more season.

I’d be hoping we’re wise enough to have offered him a coaching role Swale...possibly even assistant manager while he does his badges.
