    Why???

Lots of names coming forward to be the new Prime minister? Who on earth would WANT the job?
Literally get thrown at constantly until people have had enough of you, only to be replaced by the same. It’s the same as being the England manager. As soon as there are problems your head is on the block. Just waiting for the axe to fall.

A difficult job without doubt mate but there’s one thing you must not due to a British public.......don’t lie blatantly and constantly.

He lies like a small child over small things rather than just hold his hands up, you simply cannot do that.

It’s not big stuff that has caught him out, it’s really quite small stuff.

    The public want integrity.

That leaves Starmer in a very difficult position regarding beergate, he has lied, he should’ve admitted his guilt.

He is now very much in the firing line now with Boris gone.

I actually believe that Starmer has far more integrity than Boris and like his generally more reasoned approach BUT he is not a leader (as shown by his recent fence sitting) and he lacks control over his party which is still far from unified and contains too many far leftist elements. You actually don't have to be a fully charismatic and seemingly dynamic personality like, for example, Thatcher or Blair to be a successful PM as Atlee proved-but Atlee had very capable ministers and a united party behind him. Easy for Starmer to (rightly) criticise Boris and the Tories, but haven't heard exactly what he plans to do instead. Poor choices available for us.

It would be nice to have someone in the top job who had some honesty and integrity.

Johnson had neither of those qualities.

Politicians don’t have honesty and integrity. (Not for long anyway) They all have skeletons in the cupboard, and with enough venom can all be removed. I agree with Mick that Boris has been his own worst enemy though, he hasn’t been upfront over things but then again we all know you never get a straight answer from any politician.

Its hard to have any kind of conversation with anyone who justifies his behaviour by saying 'they all do it'

No other PM has tried to push the boundaries of our constitution for selfish reasons like he has.

No, he is the worst of the worst as a politician. He deserves to be dragged out.

No Tony Blair was worse starting an illegal war and Cherie ( or Mrs Human Rights ) getting all the nutters off! You can’t tell me Blair was not corrupt - he invented the word!

I’ve not been a Boris supporter but I am sure that there are many more villains sitting in The Houses of Parliament, definitely some worse than Boris and definitely not all of them are in the Conservative Party!

Dragged out! Blair therefore should be in prison! Lets face it the British Public change their minds like the wind ie Brexit! When the energy bills start biting there will be a return of Russian Salad and the Russians were only defending their homeland.

Nicola Sturgeon could be eyeing the top job - after all nobody can be worse than Johnson until the next person starts!

Whoever is the next PM should start by sacking c unts like Zahawi who gleefully accepted the job to work with Johnson then stabs him in the back 48 hours later. Mrs Zahawi needs to watch out - she could be next!
