The standout candidate is Penny Mordaunt by a country mile.

I’ve been watching her for about five years now, to me she’s not a “newcomer” as she seems to be to many.

With the right people in the right jobs under her leadership she’ll win the next General Election.

She mustn’t fall into the trap of bringing Sunak back in as Chancellor as a peace offering if she wins though.

PM for PM would be an interesting choice. I think she will win. Would like to see Badenoch in a senior role to see if the actions match the rhetoric.

Personally, I think Mordaunt is just likely to pip it as Sunak unliked by too many despite his experience. To be fair, I think that she would also be seen by many non Tories as the most palatable too. I liked what I have seen of Kemi Bradenoch but some of Suella Braverman's comments mark her down as being too right wing and certainly wouldn't want her in the position (though she would doubtless go down well in the US)

Frost of Brexit fame, has been firing off that she is useless and can't see her as an advancement..Goes on about how woeful she was in Brexit negotiations and even asked your PM to remove her from the position......so there.....her swim suit image may not help her, unless Sunak gets into speedos....

The Sunak camp know that if it came to a straight fight between him and Mourdant, then she has the overwhelming support of the membership. I fear some some tactical voting will take place to make sure that she doesn't get through to the last two.

I now have a mental image of Sunak tucked away in under sized budgie smugglers. He's smiling flirtatiously, his pubes are spilling out all over the place and he appears to favour my attention so to speak.
