Several years ago I heard that the Editor of the Courier previously worked on the Press and Journal which is now owned by DCT.
I remember the last time the Scottish Amateur Golf Championship was held at Downfield Golf Club the sports editor of the Courier stated that Downfield Golf course was near Dundee.
He had taken his information from Wikipedia which was wrong. Downfield Golf course is situated in Dundee.
That was another case of lazy journalism by the Courier editorial staff.

I was told by a retired DCT employee that the sports editor of the Courier at that time was a former Press and Journal employee. He might have knows something about Hazlehead Golf course but he knew sod all about Downfield Golf course.
