    So young for a CB though at 25. Not many really start to mature until later 20’s. I thought he was aggressive, won his 1:1’s and had an eye for a pass. Not forgetting the game against us with Wigan where he was a big part of shutting out a team that scored a fair few. I’d have liked to have seen him given a chance and developed as surely Bruce would be the man to teach him positional sense.

    I think it was probably more than ability and likely to be attitude issues as to why he’s been frozen out and sold.

    We really need to get Clarke but I imagine Brighton will want a few million.

    With Kipre going to Cardiff and O'Shea possibly leaving, without a new addition we could be lacking in the centre of defence. I'm happy enough with Ajey, and Taylor looks promising. Bartley is past his best and Bryan is an unknown quantity. Clarke would be a big improvement but I think that his return is a 'long shot.'

    Maybe by loaning out a couple of players we are making space for his wages, don't think he would demand a big fee.
