Looks like the winner to me.

I like the way she spoke today, I think she has the b o l l o x necessary.

I expect Sunak to lose and to leave politics by the next General Election at latest once he realised he has no chance of ever being leader.

If ever you need a reminder as to how powerful our press are, take a look at the front of the Daily Mail today. I thought she stood a great chance considering her early polling with members, but someone at the DM doesn't want her to be PM. They have a vested interest in someone else I imagine.

And take a wild guess what newspaper most Tory members read...

The nastiness and back stabbing of an internal Tory election is far more acrimonious than a general election, it seems. The Conservatives need to show a fresh look and generate some trust with the general public; if I had a vote it would be for Mordaunt.

The Tory right are obviously worried about Mordaunt and pushing for Badenoch (the only one of the right I actually have time for) to step down and put her support behind Truss instead. Perhaps they cannot see that the country has had enough of right wing Tories and that a "softer" leader like Mordaunt may give them a better chance at the next election.

Tbh, none of the candidates fill me with any confidence at having either the experience or ability to help get us out of the current mess (admittedly driven primarily by global events out of their control) but the thought of either Sunak or Truss as PM is not a good one!😞
