Was wondering if Hollywood was going to make a movie about gru...then I noticed it was done years before...Walter mitty was it??? Don't know you pal,but reading your posts can be very tiresome and excruciating...this " mancrush"with Lamy and Hull is abit OTT...give it a rest

Communication was great when in Croatia. It’s now descended into zip. If the players don’t want to come name and shame them. Let the mercenaries go someone else. We are a Championship side and players should be queuing up to come here.

I wish I’d had a boss like Paul Warne. I’d run through walls for him.

They will want to play in the champ but if somebody offers more money in the champ they will want tp play for them . There is only restricted group of players who will come to us. 1. Where tlc is more important than money 2. Those that are a bit crocked and champ teams wont take a chance on them 3. Those that have potential but are untried at that levei 4. Those who are past their best and are happy for a reasonable final pay day 5. Those that are just not very good 6. Loans from clubs who think we can develop eg young defenders.

Top clubs know our defence is in for a torrid time this season so if they want their young players to get plenty of practise defending under a warne style supportive environment we are a good bet. Forward wise we are knacked cos they know we wont prob score many goals.

all very good points, but each season when the window closes there are hundreds of players out of work, not saying they are right for us but it shows how sport is, you have a small window to make money and it really is a "I am alright jack" business, which is ironic being success can only be achieved if you are a high performing team.

Could be some players know their wages go from championship payments, to league one payments
if the club is relegated, which will be probably the case, so don't want to sign for Rotherham.
Which surely Rotherham will have set the contracts to this wage structure.

True Eric another consideration. The thought we are likely to go straight back down does not help and it is why we need to break out of this mould because it is self reinforcing. If for the sake of argument we finished mid table this season potential players may thinkrufc seem a decent bet look a bit more comfortable in the champ and may even push on to the play offs. Luton did. We have to break the cycle. TS needs to speculate a little bit. We wete prob only 2 decent champ players off staying up last season maybe even one in the right area. Maybe an extra forward or defender would have turned all those 1 -0 losses to draws and we would have stayed up. It doesnt want a lot of money chucking at it just the key players need funding. They dont have to be brilliant but be good enough to do the job.

No mancrush just how I see it. Lamy he's gone but he had more potential than Kayode at same time in there careers with us. We can't keep wheeling Wood out every season. Let's see what Hull can do in these two remaining friendly's.
