Was not commenting on broadcasting, but, the starting 11 of a football team consist of the best players. Personal decision made by a manager to which many might disagree, yes, but the manager is in charge, and that is the way it has always been.
Surely, one must in some ways be able to compare team sports with individual ones, even those with quantifiable measures?
And, in running/sprint, not always all the best are allowed to participate, in WC and Olympics. Every country is allowed to send just so many athletes - for instance, long distance, I think Kenya or Ethiopia would take the 10 first places if they were allowed to send that many participants. So quantifiable measures could also be tricky…
And to be fair, there are ”personal decisions” in, eg, running as well, not just ”the time” decides.
Did someone cross a lane, make an early start, shove fellow runners to gain advantage (longer distances) etc, etc…
And, of course, who had the best cocktail of illegal substances…

Missing the point. Nobody mentions anything about a shortage of white participants. I don’t care, If they are all black who cares? Likewise if a football team is all white nobody should care. I only notice the colour of someone when some idiot mentions it. It’s a perfect comparison.
This from the Telegraph in 2008:
https://www.takimag.com/article/snip...r_noses_in_it/The huge increases in migrants over the last decade were partly due to a politically motivated attempt by ministers to radically change the country and “rub the Right’s nose in diversity”, according to Andrew Neather, a former adviser to Tony Blair, Jack Straw and David Blunkett. He said Labour’s relaxation of controls was a deliberate plan to “open up the UK to mass migration” but that ministers were nervous and reluctant to discuss such a move publicly for fear it would alienate its “core working class vote”. As a result, the public argument for immigration concentrated instead on the economic benefits and need for more migrants. Critics said the revelations showed a “conspiracy” within Government to impose mass immigration for “cynical” political reasons.
They've gone and done it. 15 MILLION immigrants have come into your country since 2000, 1.2 million last year alone (400,000 students with their families!--they're having a laugh. Now 1/4 of your population are foreign.
These demands for "diversity, equity and inclusion" are precisely the politics that the Blairites wanted--whether they had the foresight to realize it or not.
Short of mass re-immigration--not beyond the realm of possibility considering that you are barreling headlong toward civil war and jihad--your politics going forward will amount to a process of dividing up the spoils among ethnically-defined constituencies. Have a look at Nigeria or India for examples.
As usual, the based lads from Swindon are on the story:
I'm convinced they do it for one reason only...to cause debate and raise eyebrows.
You can absolutely guarantee there are no BAME people sat there watching the match annoyed about this.
I can understand dismay around lack of representation in some fields though. This stems from sensitivities about the lack of BAME managers in football, which is a real problem and very difficult to understand or explain. Maybe just circumstance or maybe the influx of foreign owners has played a part.
Can one of the mods consider getting rid of the racist parasite Robus from the board? He just has an agenda for racial hatred and it leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
