How do you suggest holding a cycling road race without riding on the roads? For major cycle races the roads are closed for a minimal amount of time. Cyclists, by the way, are entitled to ride two abreast on the road.

Your statement above is awful and disrespectful to the people of Smethwick.

In my town Ketts the largest bike race in Europe lasted ten days! Two days many could cope with closures but 10 days and roads where there are care homes etc. That’s my point!

There’s no need for cyclists to ride two a breast on busy main roads! Why do they do it causing traffic jams? I don’t ride but my son does but he wouldn’t do that! Bit like a car going 10 miles an hour on a busy road causing a jam - I thought the Police could intervene! Is this correct or not? What’s the difference?

Town centre roads are used for maximum crowd support without much thought for care homes, schools, emergency services or volunteers. Many love to see sports but many don’t want to be trapped in their houses with marshals who think they have more jurisdiction than the Police.

You obviously don’t understand the meaning of irony, you yourself have just described certain Albion fans as “lowlife”.

What’s a “distort young fan” by the way? You’ll have to help me here, I’m not fluent in gibberish!

As for squealing like a little girl to get the moderators involved........how pathetic!🤣🤣

By the way, the mods and most on here know my sense of humour anyway, sometimes I say things I don’t even mean just to get a reaction out of a fool like you!

Totally agree! Even Des’s post are his views for f uck sake! He’s a great poster and need to understand his humour!

I have liked the girls football but you totally hate it! There’s what so great about differing views - it’s called banter!

I couldn’t care less what others think, writing stuff like that is totally wrong and whether it’s your sense of humour or not you should not write it for others to read. As for others backing you well they are also wrong, in today’s society you should think before you write.
It’s like being bullied, most nowadays realise it’s bullying but of course there are still some who live in the past.

I will not be attending any Commonwealth Games events. All of the very best to those who do and to those who are representing us. Just don't count on the trains or the Metro getting you from one place to another.

The chance for some of ours to win a medal when they stand absolutely no chance in the Olympics or European Championships.

A fantastic idea to build an Olympic standard swimming complex in Sandwell as well.

A month from now we’ll have gone from seeing Tom Daley squealing like a little b I t c h and doing his knitting to seeing fat, spotty, Smethwick lowlife showing their a r s e whilst dive bombing off the 12 metre board.

    “Legacy” my f u c k I n g a r s e!

Monumental waste of money more like.
As a former Smethwick low-life, in the main, I tend to agree with you on the building of an Olympic standard pool on Londonderry playing fields. I grew up using this facility for football and cricket, and they were some of the best times of my early life.
To take one of the few amenity spaces away from the locals at this time is, to me, outrageous., with Brandhall golf course next (another of my favourite places).
Local 'Legacy' users will be priced out of using the pool as cashed strapped council will be unable to support it. In ten years time it will be demolished for houses (always the plan with the council)

This is exactly my point Titch, your response puts things more eloquently than I did in my original post.

Let me just point out about a phrase I used as well.

When I said “Smethwick lowlife” this wasn’t aimed at everyone in Smethwick, there’s lowlife everywhere including Stourbridge as proved by the charity match being abandoned last week at Stourbridge FC.

My point was that a facility such as this is going to end up with idiots using it as it would in any deprived area.

No offence taken Mick. I can do irony.

I think people should know what a basket case of funding for this event, has become. Yet another Vanity Project by local councils.

We can all see the Legacy left in East London after 2012.

Feasibility Study not worth the paper. A total pi$$ take for the under funded population

Ok perhaps I’m in the wrong here, I’m probably getting ahead of myself in watching those few mindless idiots baiting those German supporters and took it out on Mickd post I should have realised the irony of Mickd’s post, so to Mickd and anyone I’m sorry.
