Any thoughts on who the striker is?
Read this and forgot to reply. I agree with you in that, hypothetically, if Wiles had a year left and said to the club that he won't sign a new deal under any circumstance and someone offered 5mil say, you'd be a fool not to take it. I wasn't really talking about individuals but as an overall concept. Not sure transfer listing everyone automatically garners great returns always. Someone could be worth more by staying, contributing to success, and then leaving for nothing. Potentially.
An article in tizer explaining the lonwijk situation.
Didnt realise there were limits on how many games trialists could feature on.

Regarding the striker, it is nice that the club are trying to give fans some inforamtion but it can cause additional confusion, Barker says
Assistant manager Richie Barker was on media duty after yesterday's 2- 1 win at Crewe Alexandra in the final summer friendly and said: "The conversation is planned for tomorrow.
"I would be amazed if a move happens in the next few days. Things have been pretty slow with this.
"When you're talking about loans, you've got to get the player onside, the agent onside and the parent club onside, Plus, obviously, it has to be the right deal for us.
"There are a lot of things that have to happen before the deal is made."
That is great to communicate it helps us see the complexity, however if we want another forward in even before the injuries and we know we are light, why are we only looking at a loan signing? Surely we intended to sign a player anyway and now the loan conversation is in addition to that, it is difficult to see how we can argue we are really investing in the team ahead of the campaign, when we have not even tried to make a bid for a striker from another club only recruited out of contract players, we did lose our two top goal scorers in the summer??
