Versatile defender who deserves another year (at least), so...me too.

It seems like we had Eddie Lewis for over 10 years, even though he only made 24 appearances

Each game he played seemed like a year!! That team wee Billy assembled was a joke from the start.

We had calamity Claude too, each time he played I thought let's just call it 3-0 and we'll go home now

That was a shocking summer, Billy had spent in January turning a team in red hot form into one that stumbled over the line and should never have won that game at Wembley.

Then we just couldnt attract players, i think it was obvious we were so badly prepared for the PL, i recall the odds on us not winning a game were really quite low.

I think we got close to a full year with no win.

We did, however, take 4 points off the Toon and it should have been all 6.

Should have beat Blackburn too, 1 nil up and missed a penalty from memory, think it was howards last game

Lost 2-1 at home to Chelsea. 1 nil up. One of ours got fouled around the centre circle. Surprise, surprise, it wasn't given. Their attack developed and a few seconds later it's in the back of the net. 1-1. Wash, rinse, repeat for their 2nd...... Twas ever thus

We never spent any proper money because we were too busy reducing the clubs 55m debt
