Was always going to be a bad move. Cal obviously thinks he's too good.

I don't think Cal will want to remember that debut.
Few touches of note, it almost looked like they didn't want to pass to him.
All said he has only been there a week but it may be a step too far.

To be fair it's a massive step up. A tough place to make your debut, against the best team at the biggest stadium. I guess he'll have more luck against the other teams.

How did Richardson play? Fotmob had him with the lowest match rating on both sides. Managed to catch a bit of the Sunderland v Coventry game yesterday where Patto appears to be very comfortable as a Championship No1.

I missed the first half but apparently he was having a bit of a shocker, poor touches. I don’t think Cal was poor but Aberdeen were and they could hardly string a couple of passes together as they were totally under the cosh.

Probably a baptism of fire for both of them but especially Richardson, he's a great prospect but a hell of leap for a young lad.

Didn’t watch it all. But, the parts I did watch, he just seems to switch off . Doesn’t seem to be aware of danger, doesn’t read the play and doesn’t stop crosses. Obviously the latter could be used to describe many Notts players over the past 6 years plus.

From the bits I watched, there did seem a reluctance to give him the ball. There were 2 occasions when Cal was clearly the better option to pass the ball to.

Your last comment is spot on though, he’s been there a week. Could you imagine a new player coming into Notts and supporters judging them after just one game. It just wouldn’t happen🤔
