    I was researching his background in Limerick, he was a solid prospect at the age of eight. Looks like another one from the Black Hole might be emerging.

    He might yet be feeling the tug of it mon ami, but he's a long way from being sucked in at the moment. I think, and hope, he's going to be one of the few not sucked in and blown out into non-league.

    There are some very good low cost prospects in the League of Ireland. When we sold Owen Doyle in January, he was kept on the payroll as a scout whilst he continues to play for St Patrick's and he has recommended a few already. We signed a kid for the B team from Dublin and a 6'3" 23 year old "no-nonsense" CB - who arrived injured from Derry having just played in the Europa Conference League whilst we were finalising the deal. It'll take him a few weeks to get up to speed but I have high hopes for the lad long term. We certainly need some no-nonsense at the back after enduring a masterclass of f*****g about when the pressure is on.
