A very good point Redshank. When it comes to the persuasive stuff that matters eg the hard political stuff, its right wing but in order to appear unbiased and appease the lefties put on stuff which suits them but doesnt affect right wingers voting intentions.
Not thought of this before but very logical.
Be interesting if the BBC , ITV, Sky etc remember all the Johnson lies/ balls ups of the last couple of years at the next election? I doubt it...it will be quietly and quickly forgotten about...

I don't agree Redshank. I was talking to an old uni friend who has worked for many years as a reporter for the Beeb and she is quite left wing herself but talked to me a lot about the impartiality training and checking that they are are subject to at all stages of production. If there was obvious right wing bias, she would call it out quite vocally but she's happy that they do their best to be impartial, at least on ground level. The newsroom it seems though is a revolving door between No 10 publicity and senior BBC politics team positions in recent years!
"Right-wing political commentary" on the BBC?
Is this in some sort of parallel universe?
Try GB News for that in this one.
This is exactly it Roly. We're heading for one of the most reactionary right-wing governments ever if Truss gets in. She'll leave Thatcher standing. And all this in the unprecedented times we now find ourselves in. The BBC never left Corbyn alone and took every opportunity to join in on the anti-semitism smears and lies, but they give Johnson and the Tories an easy ride. I used to religiously listen to Today and PM on radio 4, watch BBC news....not anymore. The bias is subtle. It's all about what they decide to cover and what they don't plus bias placement of news stories. The cost of living crisis and a desperate need for a redistribution of wealth is what matters to most people, but there's little if any real discussion and analysis about it on BBC news and current affairs.
"Doing it week-to-week, just because it's something we've been told to do, I think it's probably faded and lost its impact," said Newcastle forward Wilson on the latest episode of the Footballer's Football Podcast
