Bad day Stovic? I would like to know more about the "outside investment" you mention. I would be particularly interested in some facts, rather than rumours or Trump 'facts''. How much? Where from? What were the terms/conditions?

Going back a few years I remember Tony talking about "incremental" progress. I understand that to be something that happens over time, showing a positive improvement. I think I've seen that in the last ten/five/two years (choose your period). The current squad is, in my opinion, better than it was the last time we were in the ch'ship.

Could it be better? Definitely. But how? Well, the club could splash out on a 'proven' goalscorer. Someone like Jordan Rhodes used to be, for example. Or the guy from Scotland (May?) that the piggies lured from under our nose. Wonder what happened to him?

So how much would you like Tony to invest, above and beyond what he already does? Or does Tony pass on the job to someone with bigger pockets? Like the owner at P'boro? Or the Roystons at Blackpool? Or the fishmonger up the road?

TS is a great business man, PW is a good manager but together they've peaked.

Maintain the status quo and I'm happy but if there are genuine plans to improve further then PW isn't the man to do it.

TS is obviously working under 2 different types of 'investment'. Initial investment that we can afford as a newly promoted club. Never mind all this 'well we are here every other year'. Every time we are a newly promoted club and with that comes obvious financial challenges. Challenges that cannot be overcome in the first season. To get to the 'serious' investment, TS would need to see a return. A survival. By hook or by crook, just surviving somehow. That way we wouldn't then be dropping down to LG1 money. That would help. It wouldn't then mean splashing out everywhere but it would mean a loosening of the wallet, because it can be, securely. Survive again, repeat a few times and then you can look at other models. Such as Luton. But you cannot skip steps. We hear about Luton all the time but they didn't do it in one go. They survived and incrementally improved. They didn't splash out initially. Because they couldn't. Same with us. It is painful, especially to begin with. But that is the only way to do it for us that, in the worst case scenario, leaves us really well equipped for LG1 should it not work. A prudent approach that will have more frustration than champagne corks. But it is our reality. That is what he means. We cannot skip steps. Sometimes we fall down a step on the ladder but we have to take it rung by rung, otherwise we could drop off right down to the bottom. And then we will be in it. The mud.
