"store of jam" a small garden business based in Wakefield , are proud to be partners of Barnsley FC , without being being disrespectful to them , shouldn't the Head of Marketing be looking at bringing much larger deals /sponsor's etc ? All this collective wealth and contact's ? and yet it appears nobody wants to get involved with BFC the "brand" It doesn't take an expert to see where money is being drained away ( mainly off field ) a CEO 150k pa , 2 lazy never play Belgians reportedly on 7k pw ? That's one hell of an amount of money seeping out of the Club , and no doubt there will be much more we don't even know about ,

Conway & Lee are still large shareholders and will benefit from any income into BFC so surely the 'not a penny more' mob are still staying away & not sneaking into Oakwell like slippery snakes after all the moral grandstanding. Surely not.
I am actually a reight fan Ponty and I'll tell you why .

I've still enough interest to actually watch the games , I don't have to , there's not one single game on a Saturday afternoon or midweek that I can't watch , not one .

I've still enough interest to contribute to this board every day and talk incessantly about all things BFC at work , in the pub and at home with my partner .

The wins make me happy and the defeats hurt .

I also get very angry when things aren't done right at the club , in other words I care and if I care then I'm still a fan .

What I actually am is a very poor consumer and customer and given almost every football club now considers everyone to be nothing more than consumers and customers your words have very little actual meaning .

I'm a poor consumer and customer because the ownership at this club seek to profit at a point in the future without investing their own personal funds in to the club .

So given the club considers me to be no more than a consumer and a customer I have a fundamental right to withdraw from remaining a consumer or a customer and in business the customer is always right .

The only person who can remove my fan status is myself by not having any interest in Barnsley Football Club what so ever .

I'd also like to add that the removal of Conway , Lee and Hung was done by empty plastic seats at Oakwell during the final third of the season and not done by the Supporters Trust or the present board.

If ST holders had turned up during the final third of last season nothing in my opinion would have changed.
    ============================

    This is untrue.

Two of the current new board members have explained how Dane Murphy informed them in August 2021 that the contract between Paul Conway & some of the shareholders Conway represented expired after 4 years which was December 2021, and that they immediately began working on securing these shares & working together to obtain a majority shareholding which is now the current board.

Fans staying away from matches achieved nothing other than help knock further the confidence of players who were already at rock bottom & the youngest squad in the championship. But what would you care? you wrote you couldn't care less if fans like you staying away led to the club going out of business "if the club dies it dies" you said, and all over a temporary blip in 135 years of ownership. So much for young Barnsley players like Marsh forging a career or young fans enjoying a lifetime of support like us older folk.

So don't insult fans with these fantasy stories to justify this crap take ownership of your own words & actions.
The only fantasy is that you believe those in high positions on Grove Street actually care about you .

They don't , they care about how much money they can extract from you so that they don't have to use their own money to somehow extract a profit in the future .

The only reason they acted on Lee , Hung and Conway was because there was a great threat emerging that the club's financial position with fans not attending and likely not to renew ST's this season meant they would have to make up the shortfall from their own pockets or place the club in administration .

Nobody but nobody lifted a finger last summer with the way Conway was trashing the club , not a peep .

    Apologies to Shads and Arbs.

Absolutely 100% spot on. Always a fan, always a supporter. I couldn’t have described my position any better than you just did yours. I’ve been trying to explain it to people why I have t renewed. Thanks Animal. You just showed me how to articulate it better.

I was giving Ponty until the end of today before I reminded him SB. But you've done it for me thank you.
I would still like to receive an answer. I don't think he can have missed it because he replied to Animal's posts that were around the same time.

I don't know if any monies were paid by Hex to BFC , some saying they paid up front ?, they do however seem to have brought attention to themselves good or bad in the media , is this what they wanted ? there is even a column in the Football League Paper about it and also showing a photo of Luke Thomas wearing their Logo ,
