No better place to start than tomorrow night against their former club.

I'm not really sure why LW is trying to reinvent the wheel. We've signed them as the replacement goals yet even in pre-season for one reason or other they haven't played together in the positions that worked so well for them last season.
Got to be worth a try hasn't it?

Cedwyn's probably keeping a low profile . . . he must have learned that the best way to become one of the Notts fans' favourite players is to keep being left on the bench or out of the squad altogether.

If that fails he'd better ask for a transfer, then as soon as he scores two goals for Billericay Town he'll be "another one that got away" and a veritable club legend.

Scott suffered with illness through pre-season so barely got any minutes. He got minutes against Maidenhead but didn’t at BW. I’d say he’s probably a little behind the rest from a match fitness perspective. Not sure he will start tonight either but likely to get minutes off the bench. However, agree it would be nice to see how the pair actually work together.

    Absolutely nailed it

Come to think of it it's about time we had a Sam Osborne and Pierce Bird update.

Might be a bit long winded but we really ought to get something like this going for the Gateshead match....
Are you kidding?? A bit long??

Both playing for Fylde 1st team, which is about the same standard as us..

I think it has been unfortunate/frustrating that Langstaff and Scott have not been able to pair up in pre season. It would seem strange for us to have bought such a successful scoring duo and not play them together through choice.
With Mitchell scoring at the weekend it has heightened the competition for places and could buy time for CS to get match fit.
We were all excited when we signed the pair and it would be disappointing for them not to flourish as a partnership for us, but it is very early days.

Is it? Looks like they are both definitely operating in the league below.

Unless we are now considering L2 as the same standard as the National League? Then yes it's "about the same standard" aka not as good a standard.
