And that’s a long run of games?

We had a vote, (albeit unofficial), and ''Titbits'' were designated more than acceptable by a humongous majority. So carry on chaps, let them all hang out.

He appeared in 7 consecutive games.

Point remains, coaches can do some weird s*** when they first come to a club (and drop a lot of points in the process)

Does having Larry Lloyd as your local rival's manager count?
John Robertson from podgy useless mid-fielder to podgy world class winger.

How much Cloughie (and Taylor) got out of his players (regardless of position) is probably more clearly illustrated by what those players did, or rather didn't do, after Florest. What happened to Webb, young Clough, Laws, Steve Hodge, Des Walker etc. The only one that I recall went on to be a success elsewhere was Roy Keane.

Anyway some of the Cloughie/Taylor, or indeed Sirrel/Wilkinson genius would be more than welcome now, but the days of organising the club in that manner are long gone - sustainablity is the key word today.

But you said he got a long run of starts. It was 2!

When a new Head Coach comes he is given the equipment to use - around 21 players I guess. He can't use every one of them, so he chooses the ones he thinks will be the best fit.

Unfortunately his choice will never be as all the fans want (as we all want different).

Hopefully TAR will get his head down and come good.

Is the weird s*** a straight observation or an observation with a side of critisism?

Yeah, 2 games too long. Did you see those games?

A new manager's picks could benefit from their predecessor being around to say 'you might not want to do that!"

As for Adebayo, Wing-back is a crazy position, you wouldn't want anyone trying it who isn't in tiptop condition. This has to be the likeliest explanation for him not being in the match day squad.

Agreed notts78 knight was never ever given a fair chance just like Eli 2 talents thrown on the scrapheap and along with numerous other front players will no doubt go on to better things. We haven't really supported young talent effectively since the Warnock years.

Totally agree with the last part but would our fans in NL be patient enough to give talented young'uns a chance? The manager appears to already be under a little pressure and it's only 3 games into his tenure!!

I know local lads and youngsters get more of a free pass but on NCM and social media a couple of indifferent or average perfomances and I'd envisage the knives would be out sharpish. Although I imagine they would point at the head coach and not the poor performing youngster.
