After listening to the Radio Red commentary, I thought we must have played poorly and lucky to get a point, so thought LW's post match interview was weird. However after reading Gateshead fans impressions of the game, looked at ncfcog's stats and viewing Gateshead's highlights package, I think it is our fans post match comments are weird. I can only assume this comes from the impression that Gateshead were there for the taking.
I am amazed by the negativity from our fans after three unbeaten games. If you can gain points when not on your A game, that usually bodes well.

I think a lot of fans are conscious that there's only one automatic promotion place out of this league and a club like Notts County should be in the running to take it, so not dropping points at places like Gateshead is important if you've got aspirations of making a title challenge. You're right that we're unbeaten and no early slip-up is fatal at this stage, but the anxiety probably comes from last season when we dropped points time and time again against teams we really needed to beat. There's not a lot of room for error, so I think fans are looking for us to show this season that we can go to the Gateshead's of this world (having taken their two best players) and get three points. It's what we'll need to do if we don't want to be in the play-off lottery again.
