If they offer £10 million we'll snatch their hand off. I don't think the proceeds from Charlie will ever see the dry powder room, they should just about cover the annual interest we're racking up on the club's debt.

I'm currently putting together an article on "Burnley FC Finances" sinkov. It's properly researched and written "without prejudice".

I'm trying hard not to create a lawsuit and stating the article is entirely my own opinion. At present the piece is a bit too long so I am in full edit mode.

There has to be a fair bit of guesswork because as with almost all football clubs, deals are shrouded in secrecy, but I don't think we are all that far off from being way beyond the threat of administration.

It appears to me Alan Pace knows exactly what he is doing. Revenues this season are in the region of £115 million and that amount of money gives Burnley Football Club loads of "wiggle room".

One comment from Vinny gives me enormous belief in what our chairman and manager are doing, it went along the lines of, "we cannot afford to have waged players not contributing to the cause". The exit door at Turf Moor is obviously still wide open.

I look forward to seeing your conclusions, BT.

Would anyone come in for some of the non-contributors, like Long and JGB?I can’t see them featuring any time soon. Lowton the same. I don’t know about Westwood, when he is fit. Can we expect Cork to play every match? Cullen could get injured/ suspended. He does provide some cover.

I look forward to reading it mon ami. I assume you have made full use of the club's last Annual Financial Statement ? You can't get into trouble for factually reporting what the club has already put into the public domain.

I'm intrigued by your prediction of £115m revenues this season, without giving too much away from your coming masterpiece, could you give us some idea on how you've come up with that figure ? It's only about £25 million below our peak revenues from the PL era when we had TV money coming out of our ears. Maybe the Parachute payments are far higher than I was expecting, that might explain it, but if our revenue only drops £25 million, we reduce the wage bill, and sell most of our saleable players, then indeed we are in a far better place than anyone could have anticipated. It all sounds too good to be true to me.

sinkov, isn't there a saying that "If it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is the case"

I mention "revenues" sinkov and not outgoings: £70 million in so far on player sales, £40 million parachute payment, £5 million on season tickets and commercial revenues. £115 million income gives Mr Pace plenty of "Wiggle Room" IMHO.

Cheers BT, as you say, with £70 million from player sales and £40 million parachute payments we are a long way from admin, at least in the short term. When is your Magnum Opus due, I have much more to say, but if you're going into the subject of our finances in greater detail, I'll save it for then.

BT has nothing to fear from me, and he knows that. Despite our many differences and spats on here, me and BT, we're good.
