The investigation into who did the Hex deal and the amount of due diligence rumbles on into Day 13. BFC's "Further comment will be issued in due course" shows the matter to be complex and time consuming.

Perhaps AC12 from Line of Duty should be brought in----

Hastings: "Suspect K (purely random initial), were you the party at Barnsley Football Club who did the sponsorship deal with Hex.com ?"

Suspect K; "No."

(Research Officer places papers on table). Research Officer: "These are copies of Evidence Files 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D and 5E showing the e-mail exchanges between Suspect K and an Hex.com representative agreeing the details of the sponsorship.

Hastings: "Suspect K, I will ask you again. Were you the person who did the sponsorship deal with Hex.com ?"

Suspect K: "Yes".

Hastings: "We'll move on. Did any due diligence take place into the workings of Hex and the individuals working in it before you completed the deal ?"

Suspect K: "Yes"

Research Officer: "We can find no internet or phone history revealing any diligence."

Suspect K: "I looked at their adverts and website."

Hastings (agitated): " Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey, can we just move this along before it drives us all round the bloody bend. Did you examine the history and dealings of Hex and the kind of individuals involved before completing the deal."

Suspect K "No"

Hastings: " I will report my findings to BFC within the hour".
