The fact that the players had their own meeting without the manager being there can be taken various ways. For me, it's a bad idea. If there are things that need addressed then it has to be done face to face. If certain players have issues but don't want to tell them to the manager himself there must be a reason for that. If this is because they think it will be held against them in the future and might even harm their career then this might mean that they think the manager may be vindictive and that is not healthy. I also don't like folk loading the gun and some daftie firing the bullet which can happen when things are not totally transparent. Whatever the problem is (and there is a huge one) it has to be thrashed out in the open, very soon. It matters not a jot how good a player or players are, once the confidence goes, it is very hard to restore.

We cannot have Watt,Mulgrew and Fletcher running the team as they see fit.If that's what most of you want though then punt the manager but don't bother replacing him just let the senior players take us to oblivion before they F OFF to pastures new not giving a flying phuck about United.

Almost all players moving to Scotland take a while to adjust, the pace of the game is so fast. Remember Jon Daly being described as Prolific Jon on here? Took him ages to get used to it for instance.

IMHO, Jack Ross needs to show some leadership here and be seen with the senior players talking about togetherness to let the fans know everyone is pulling in the same direction. If this happened it would make it much easier to get behind everyone.

Sorry but Bit wild to be speculating with no evidence that fletcher, watt and mulgrew are running the team and root of our ills.

Bit over analysing, the manager needs to have a reset/reset, his attempts at setting up a team yesterday were worrying to say the least. What has he been working on all pre-season, has he watched Utd at all that he can’t recognise we needed a def midfielder?

Watt looks to me like the type of guy who needs a bit of love from support/manager, and if it goes other way might go in huff. Fans seemed to really appreciate him last season, and his lack of goals put down to courts inability to get best out of him. Might it just be a case of he isn’t actually that good.

Watt looks to me like he needs a good boot up the erse and there would be a Q of Arabs happy to administer it.

He's had one purple patch his whole career and we spunked a six figure fee and made him one of our highest earners on the back of it. He really isn't very good. I said all this at the time he signed and I'm being proven right unfortunately.

1 goal in 20 appearances ffs.

The players in any football team who are the slowest, laziest or no very good are the happiest to be part of a 5 at the back side.A perfect example of this is Harry Maguire, looks good in England's 5 with 2 NO6's in front of him but is found wanting for Man U's 4 with only one NO6 to protect him.

I am not speculating its plain to see which United players want to sit in and be negative all season leaving us the paying supporters bored to FN tears every week.

    This situation is unacceptable.
This exactly, raging at the attitude of some players. In any other job, if you down tools you get sacked. These people are meant to be professional football players. If some players are undermining the Jack Ross, get them to f@ck. Watt has done f'all and would not be missed. Mulgrew can be replaced by Ross Graham and Fletcher can be replaced Logan Chalmers if we recall him. We couldn't be any worse off than we are now ffs. We may have to take the hit, but right now we are championship bound anyway.

The words of the current Man U coach:
"It starts with yourself," he said. "Act as a team. Follow the rules and principles and work hard, as hard as you can maximise. If you do that, then you get confidence."

A few of the DUFC squad could do with heeding these words.
