LSArab, the only positive from your post is the win to Alkmaar at home, and anyone who watched it without tangerine specs would say we should have lost handsomely. We were very lucky.

There has been no real positives this season so far. The signings were a waste of time.

That's absolutely not true though, we deserved our victory and were excellent that night, our keeper had next to **** all to do ( just as well really)

Yes we might be better with 5 at back and a DM but we are only a few league matches in

There has been a great win at home to Alkmaar

It’s too early not to be backing a manager who from his history is an upgrade on TC

TC hardly won any matches from December to March as I remember it and that team were lucky to get 4th

More time needed and it would be madness to think about changing managers now
Kinda agree with this. Horrible start for us but to soon to get rid of JR. A better reflection of how we stand will be after the next 4/5 game. Yes I know for some this might seem to late in the day as we cld be routed to the bottom, but if we continue to go through managers like we have been doing. Wld any other decent manger want to come to us? Don’t get me wrong like most on here im absolutely raging about how we have been playing.

This is a realistic view of the AZ home game. I do wonder if it was a deliberate tactic on their part, the second leg suggests that. But it was a great win and we played really well.

This is where JR is gonna have to earn his money. When we beat AZ..it was very much a ful team performance..it just clicked. The royal pumping we got in the return leg has made it very easy for individuals to blame other people for the performance.. We have seen it on here, its the keeprs fault, its the defenses fault..our midfield is too weak, the strikers aren't doing enough in the final third. In reality...this is exactly what is wrong...every player in every position including the management was not at 100%. We win as a team and lose as a team! The only way we are going to get ourselves out if this hole is by everybody being aware of their own failings as collectively..those failings have caused rhe team to fail. I hope that the team have had a "all cards on the table" clear the air talk with some home truths given to every single one of them. They have to create a siege mentality and work together as a team to get us out of this mess! This could be a catalyst for us but could just as easily break the team beyond repair. The management team/captain are gonna have to work really hard to get everybody back together. We have a role as supporters to help create the siege mentality....we have shown time and time again that we will do this. The Celtic game comes at a horrible time for us but we have to go into this game and play it like its a cup final. Only time will tell if we look likely to turn the corner..but it's a soul destroying start to the season...but a few wins could be the turning point for us.

    Good positive post Weegie.
Everyone at Tannadice has to roll up their sleeves & that includes us, the fans.
Rest assured with hard work & staunch support the breaks will come.

By all accounts they had a clear the air talk before the St Mirren game. Lot of good that was.

    I totally agree.

Supposedly lots of rumours JR is walking out.
Surely just rumours his career would be basically over if he just walked away and don’t think we’ll panic just yet. It’s not even that bad. St mirren result is first one that was an unexpected result just performances been really poor. Just need to steady the ship again. Think everyone just in tailspin after alkmaar result. They went on and pumped Vicente 4-0 so they’re seriously good team

He was accused in the past for being too defensive minded. He will will want to be ultra defensive now. Never mind attractive attacking for now.

I doubt if they let us win on purpose Terry, but, I think I know what you mean. They were very confident of beating us comfortably on their own patch, so as long as there was no major disaster, a draw or a small loss probably was quite acceptable to them. I don't know their history of 2nd legs in Europe, but, I'm sure it's reasonable. Reminds me a wee bit of us sadly.
