A few comments I would make. Firstly, the late 80’s early nineties were the start of football’s revival. Italia 90 the premier league and all seater stadium brought fans back. So those low gates weren’t so bad.

On the flip side, last seasons comparison is also a little false. The reds sold out many games last season and had they a bigger stadium the comparison would have been greater.

So the bad not so bad, and the good not so good imho
