It’s all about improving the team, well, it should be. Clarke would have improved the team. The team is not likely to be improved with Bryan in it, I don’t think he’s much good. It doesn’t matter how good and in what position Livermore was when at Hull, he’s now past it. The best way for the team to be improved would be for the chinaman to do one…….

Oh yes Bryan - forgot about him!! The overheads of our treatment room must be sky high with all these crocs!

Lai won’t do one until he gets his cash back and wouldn’t surprise me if he places the stadium in a separate company from the football club - like the t wat Norris did at Derby!!

Bartley and Ajayi didn't get us promoted last time. Pereira did and he wasn't playing centre half. Between them Bartley, Ajayi and Johnstone very nearly blew our automatic chances with some ridiculous mistakes that season.

One final note. TGH is arguably the closest thing we have to a wing back in our first team squad. He's not really an out and out full back yet he's played more games for us wide at all levels than he has centrally. Again though, we don't play with wing backs.
Sensible comments. I just always see 4th choice centre half as makeshift rather than a decent option. As I say, when Bryan returns that’s the 5th option.

Ajayi was our second best player under Bilic promotion season IMO. Clarke is a good defender but I wouldn’t sign him and remove either O’Shea or Ajayi - only to then not have a backup attacking mid. If swift gets injured there is no backup number 10.

Should Swift be injured Wallace can play in his role. Or at least he has in the past, whether Bruce would play him there is anyone's guess.

Should we eventually find ourselves in possession of a functional central forward then a possible front four minus Swift would be 'forward', Grant on the left, Wallace behind the forward and Diangana on the right.

Although Grady's doing well on the left he played on the right for West Ham so can play either side. Remember he'd be being used as a winger as opposed to a wide forward who was expected to hunt the ball down under Valerian Ismael.

They're completely different roles which give you a completely different Grady Diangana.
