Beam him up Scotty, yesssss!!!
Last team to get a result against us after we took a two goal lead........
Halifax last season.
We’ve had the ball a lot but not done a lot with it but certainly stepped it up the last 10, thought they got more fans than this, pretty poor support.
This is a pivotal moment in how we are going to be away from home this season. It sounds like the game was not the greatest but what we had is two chances (or created two chances) in the last five minutes and we go in at half time 2-0 up.
What we have to learn from past seasons (certainly away from home) is to go on and finish this game off and put it to bed. Should we let Halifax back in it and draw 2-2 again that will not be the kind of second half we need if we want to be right up there.
That is why we must push for the third, and also try and keep that clean sheet. It can be the same as the first half for me performance wise as long as we don't grab a draw or defeat from the jaws of victory and win.
Its not rocket science. For the first time this season, the manager selects 2 strikers from the start that scored over 50 golas between them last season, and guess what happens
Scott was not being played because he had illness or something so has had to be gradually introduced. It bodes well having both Langstaff and Scott starting games if they can continue their impressive partnership that they had at Gateshead.
It's early days but Langstaff looks like the best poacher we've had in a decade since Ooooosey!
FT 4-1, as bad as Halifax may have been you can't argue with that.
Definitely. I can almost guarantee Luke Williams will be disappointed that we conceded the goal and rightly so and so will the players in fairness. It's clear we've got the goals in us what we don't want is the defence to be soft and undo that hard work. In our first couple of seasons we were really good defensively.
The clean sheet and the 1-0 win afterall is what wins titles.

Possibly better, because Hughesy was approaching the end of his career and not gaining value, whereas Langstaff's value will be rocketing.
Great win this. Halifax clearly aren't the team they were under Pete Wild, but a win by that margin away from home is always good, and the Langstaff/Scott combination seems to be up and running.
