It was a strange move in my opinion. Forest Green Rovers have surely hit their glass ceiling in League One, so exactly what does IB expect to achieve there? At the moment it looks like he's trying to play his pretty football with players who aren't good enough in a league that doesn't let you get away with it. FGR will need to roll up their sleeves and battle to survive, but he isn't the manager you would pick to do that!

I would imagine if he kept them in that League, he'd be a hero. I notice Sooty beat Mansfield 2-1, wish I'd had that in the sweep.

If they stay up and he survives, the move cements him as a L1 manager with every chance to move up the pyramid in good time. He would've been absolutely insane to turn the opportunity down if he thought there was a decent chance he could hold it together up there.

Re this game's result: Great! This season's suddenly looking a whole lot better. We'll see how the next few games turn out.

Finishing 20th would be an achievement for him there. Nil goals scored and 11 conceded in his last three games would suggest he might find that difficult though. Would be fun if we drew them in the FA Cup, assuming we will qualify for the 1st round and he is still there come November/December.

FGR fans on twitter are saying similar to Notts fans last season.

My favourite was questioning why he left their tallest and best defender on the bench away to Sheffield Wednesday?
