My first away game for a while, lovely to win 4-1 and it’s marvellous to have a proper striker up top, for possibly the first time in this league. Pre Langstaff that would have been one of those dreadful 0-0s 0-1s away to dross that we’ve had so many of in the last few years. Pretty much 4 chances 4 goals other than that we were bang average. Halifax were proper trash.

Big game on Monday hopefully our best players have kept enough in them and Ruben comes back firing on all cylinders.

Edit forgot to mention the scaffolding which obliterated the view of a quarter of the pitch, while the end terrace was shut. Halifax should go down just for that.

Great interview. Once we get the team settled, and hopefully everyone fit, I think we're going to really put some teams to the sword this season.

Thought JOB came back fighting, he was everywhere. I’ll also stick by Mitchell has got something and we certainly shouldn’t write him off.

Wrexham letting in 2 against 10 men shows that they can be got at and their defence isn't all that!

I know we shouldn’t judge anything before 10 games in blah blah, but that looks awfully familiar… win a couple, hard fought point to a top team, drop points in a couple we should win… end up 10-20% of the pace. I do hope I’m wrong.

Early days, but looking at the table now, the only bad result so far was Gateshead away. Had we won that game, we'd be 2nd. Other than that the results have been perfectly acceptable for a team hoping to challenge.

The 4 game sequence of fixtures from mid-September......

    ALDERSHOT, dorking, york, ALTRINCHAM

...... should give Notts a real opportunity to be well in the mix if they can come through the next three games in touch with top spot.
If we can keep around the 2ppg mark we will be fine. Currently 1.8ppg but win on Monday and that will put us right on course to meet the magic 2ppg as we would have collected 12 points from 6 games.

Last time at Meadow Lane we beat Solihull 2-0 with one of the goals coming from Mitchel who's really pushing this season and must not be overlooked. We have lots of good firepower options and I'd like us to get a win backed up with a clean sheet on Monday.

Win Monday and even I'll be happy.

At least Solihull are just about a match for us, physically. No 10 ft giants in their squad to bully our boys.

Agree about Mitchell, works hard and his finishing is better this season. He's improving and there's definitely a player in there. Glad he got his goal today and still had work to do when he got the ball so well played. I think his celebration was saying don't count me out now Langstaff and Scott are the front two.
