Mick....the world no longer does economic depressions as we found out with the bail out of private banks just over a decade ago.
Two consecutive back to back quarters of negative contraction constituted an economic recession, and three consecutive back to back quarters of negative economic contraction signals a depression, similar to the classic 1930's style depression.
