I predicted a 2-0 win and a Barlaser penalty. Got scorers wrong and Dan the man fluffed his penalty. Going to have to change that 'straight down the middle' routine if he wants to continue taking them. Thought Dan's short game passing was off? but his long range passing simply superb! There's no wonder clubs are sniffing around looking to buy him.

I always back Woody to score every game. He didn't let me down yesterday with a 40/1 and a 33/1 bet. Very modest with a £1 bet on both so £73 to the good, cheers Captain Fantastic! Simply wish he was 10 years younger and had all the skill and knowledge he currently has and shows.

The game: Pre kick off I just felt really upbeat about playing Birmingham, don't know why just did. Some of our football at times was just simply great to watch. Already been mentioned with little or no hoofball, all on the deck which again is a vast marked improvement.

Been touched on already but have to say, great recruitment this time around. Yes I was one of the largest drum bangers about us not getting anyone in early enough but, glad to say it's turned out rather well.

Shame about the injuries and hope they are not as bad as first reported. Left back slot will be probably filled by Wes at Sunderland but I have to say that McCart looks extremely comfortable playing there. Is Warney brave enough to chance it playing him there?

Across the team we looked fit, energetic, worked as one and it was overall, a very entertaining game.

    Onwards and more upwards?

NB. Brooke Norton-Cuffy what a player for an eight.een year old. Outstanding qualities and strong as an ox. Brilliant signing! Still charging down the wing on 90 minutes, another lad with a great engine.

What can I add really? Fantastic performance, well done to them all. Really good vibe around the place and seem to be giving the media a real headache because we just refuse to follow their script!

Side I'd play at Sunderland don't laugh Chieo on the left with McCart natural left sided defender more cover there. Also Vickers in goal signs to me Victor little errors creeping into his game

    Vickers

    Harding Hall McCart

    Norton-Cuffy Rathbone Barlaser Wiles Chieo

    Washington Kelly

I thought Brooke Norton-Cuffy did what a big bloke like Kayode should be doing, using his build & weight with a aggression,
no wonder the player is well thought of at Arsenal.
Like I said in another posting get Cole Stockton in, & send Kayode out on loan.

We don't play Norwich until November 5th. We play Sunderland next on Wednesday night.
I think crash is referring to a post on here taken from the brum message board that basically said these were easy winable games for them.

A quick note on the Brum fans.We play in a league where the away contingent is far higher, which we welcome and they took their full quota,in fact wanted more. With that atmosphere inside our stadium it is electric and the Blues were very vocal early on, as loud as we have had from the away fans.As the game went on they were numbed by our play, outclassing their team. All the best for rest of the season apart from when we go down to St Andrews. Still on about Vickers as usual. Victor has played very well in all the games he’s played. Only let 2 goals in all season. 1 was a worldie that would have beaten any keeper and the other was a bad clearance by Humphries. None of them were his fault so can you point out these little errors he is making.
Just a side note, Victor would no doubt have saved that goal that Morcambe scored on Tuesday. Remember it gru Vickers only shot on target that he had to deal with.

If I was opposition against us at team briefing I'd say keep those crosses going in get big lads up there cause their keeper under pressure can't deal with them. I'm expecting that at Sunderland.

MOMS Wood but closely followed by Hall who was also very good. Woods goals just giving him the edge. Also Viktor, Dan the man and Washy with honourable mentions but everyone no less than 7 out of 10.

Still unsure re humphries. Can give the ball away in daft places. Cant afford to do that as a defender. He is young though and hopefully will learn. Personally think Reg was a better defender but at least hump is ours.

BNC a bit similar. Showed some good stuff but did a couple of dodgy things in defence. Again a young lad tho and obviously a great prospect

Viktor sometimes makes wrong decisions oming off his line but some of his catching of crosses/ free kicks and corners has been superb and has really relieved the pressure at crucial times. He also seems to be punching less and catching more. He is gonna get better as well. Another player we need to give a longer contract to.
