Used to celebrate like a lunatic when I scored a goal in the playground, down the park, in training and or during games.

It would generally wind the opposition up a treat and so if I scored again I celebrated even more.

That's right, I was one of those annoying gits who actually enjoyed himself and had no problem showing it.

Even when I scored against my lad when we had kick abouts in the garden when he was a kid I was always happy to be the bigger kid; he in turn would celebrate like a lunatic if he scored against me.

We had to stop playing his football computer game when he got better than me though because when he scored and celebrated I started getting a bit 80s terraces with him (in a fun way 😊 ).

Mid 50s now. My one knee's wrecked, the other isn't the best and I can't even run short distances without serious discomfort.

I'd love to play one last game of (pain free) football and have that feeling of joy when the ball hits the back of the net again. Celebrate your victories when you can as you never know when they'll come to an end.
