I was thinking the same about Regis and we also scouted Jamie Vardey

Don't care where they come from or how little they cost so long as they can put the ball in the net. Having wasted so many millions on non scoring forwards over the years it would make a refreshing change to find one who can actually do the business for next to fk all. Heck, we could even give Cleary a run from the bench over the last twenty or so minutes of games.

We can thank Roy Hodgson for not taking Vardy. He was scouted a number of times during Ashworth's tenure only for Roy to say no on the back of one performance in a dull game played out in foul weather.
