RE: Michael O'Neil - been on the Stoke forums and talking to some Stoke fans I know, and the general consensus seems to be that he is a decent and honest man. He went into Stoke and got rid of ageing and big earning players and worked well with the youth setup and gave a few young players chances (which a few of them took). They ended up concerned about his tactical know-how and ability to change games when things weren't going well. They are grateful to him for settling the club at a bad time but became concerned that that was as far as he would take the club.
Could this be the man for us? Reducing the age of the squad and moving (undeserved) big earners out sounds critical for our club. If he was able to do a good job in the English Championship surely a move to the Scottish Premiership would suit him and us. Big concern is - would he be able to work with TA?
FWIW I think he will hang on for another chance in the Championship, but you never know.
