He was seething through the game too, absolutely berated a couple of his players. Tbf he’s done a great job there and the last few months they’ve been the form team, bad day for them and we were at it to make it worse.

You'd guess he'd be uptight on returning to Meadow Lane...

Our relegation's on his CV and then he couldn't get us back up. There's mutual respect between him and our fans, but both know the history. Like accidentally bumping into the guy who ran over your dog or something....a wee bit awkward.

Amusing summary! Because of what he did and didn't do, I can't be strongly for or against Ardley. I'm probably a Brexit-style 52/48 against, simply because he was in charge when we said goodbye to the Football league. I did notice he seemed more animated (repeated outstretched arms) in the away dugout than he did (repeated folded arms) in the home dugout.

Problem for NA is that he knows he's being recorded.
But then you get boring answers.

I don’t know enough about Solihull to know whether the interviewer was right or Ardley was right, but if they’ve started the season playing well in one formation, changed it for this game and then got comprehensively outplayed… it seems a fair question to ask.

And this delightful, dominate and above all deserved victory made it the perfect 6 from 6 over the August bank holiday. Thise highlights show a great through ball from our 'Portugese Wizard' that on another day results in a goal, and so unlucky with that run and finish that was fantastically cleared off the line.

So pleased we got those 3 points against a promotion rival.

On to Daggenham in a far healthier position.

What a joy it is to be the team doing the pressing for once. 8 different players and 14 passes for the goal, awesome stuff. Oh, and I timed it, 38 seconds from start to finish. Austin helped make that move possible, dropping deep to link up with Nemane and Palmer, and Palmer's involvement just typifies his overall game.

Yeah Sam Austin should be in the team but Palmer was very much involved with the goal. Nice decisions to have.

I really liked the way there were times when we had Nemane on one touchline wanting it and Chicksen on the other. We really stretched their defence.

I also like Langstaff's eagerness when he chased up on the keeper. Dodgy keeper at that!

I keep reading criticism of playing it out from the back, but that's the best way imo, combined with occasionally hitting it long.
