I have noticed how there's a great deal made about the amount overall is spent i.e. the amount paid for Haaland cost was set against how much they had sold Jesus for.

The quantity of players Man Utd were going to buy amounted to nearly £1/2 bn. They don't really have that many players that they can sell to show any significant offset against that.

True that the initial fee was offset but the reaon why City are blowing everyone apart is the wages with Haaland on around 440 euros per week! Very few, if any can match/risk that kind of outlay
