What a great last 8 days to be a Notts fan. I’m not getting on any bandwagons but I’m not far off😂. As daft as it sounds I would like Notts to get a couple of players in, we look a very attractive proposition at the moment and could probably tempt a couple of quality additions to push on further.

They kind of remind me of Birmingham under Barry Fry where they got so many players in they did not know the names of each other. Could well go very pear-shaped for them, poor souls.

They've spent £150 million on a lot of supporting cast members without signing the matchwinner. When Blackburn went up all those years ago the first thing they did was sign Alan Shearer and everything was then built around him. Clearly Forest's defence will need more work, but their real problem will be the lack of top quality forwards, which is what sorts the wheat from the chaff at that level.
