Chin up fellow posters…..it might not have been the result we wanted but we have moved up a spot in the league and when we beat the Huns next weekend we will be above them also. We admittedly will need to be a heck of a lot better with our final pass into our attacking players.
I am still far from convinced Goodwin is of any use….he has a lot of stubborn traits that done McInnes in. The captain of the team is far from convincing also….but the reality is we are currently 3rd and could quite easily be 2nd after next weekend. Duk is one I gave stick a few weeks back but the lad is showing a lot more potential now and deserves a start. I do agree with Jupiter though…we are not getting enough winning results against 11 players. That needs addressed.
Whilst I wouldn't say utter class, I do like the boy. Does a lot of running and chasing and keeps it simple, never gives up or hides either when having a sh*t game like he did against Motherwell, when nearly every pass he made went to an opposition player. For me he is the sort of player that never gets much praise in a team and you only miss him when he isn't playing. I think his only issue he has is the pace of the game in Scotland, which many a player has stuggled with over the years.
Once again I find myself agreeing with the_moog's summation of the afternoons goings ons.
I said after the Motherwell defeat that this season will be one of ups and downs and probably struggling to find the level of consistency needed to challenge at the top end of the table , yesterday confirmed that. We are heading in the right direction and as others have said it is entertaining to watch. The results elsewhere yesterday make it even more frustrating but with so many new players still finding their feet I think the first half of this season at least will continue in this manner. The boy Duk’s goal was a quacker though…..!
