Does it really matter who the next manager is? If the players don't like him,he's toast.

Good question. I’m guessing that Asghar must have agreed early doors that Ross had to go.
He doesn’t seem to be the type of guy who will let the players dictate who the manager will be.
    Unless he was in agreement.
What would Ross say to any prospective manager who asked him what happened during his short reign.

probs tell all in the managerial circle to avoid us like the f ucking plague

it will be no secret in those circles what happened and how we operate, rumours are Kevin Thomson is keen and has applied, McInnes not keen due to working under current 'structure'

But is that not in essence what man management is about? In any job, getting people on board, and if you have any bad apples, then show your strength and put them in their place/ditch them. I'm sure most of us will have worked under managers at one point we have considered clueless, do you intentionally down tools? No but likewise do you go that extra mile for them? When Terry Venables joined Barcelona he was openly mocked by his players, his tactics questioned, but pretty quickly won the players round because he won games from the start and the players were thinking this clown actually knows what he is doing.

I don't know what happened with Ross, even now I find it a bit of a head scratcher, for it to turn so quickly, but if players were guilty of chucking it v Celtic so was the manager, with his lack of actions at ht. Also his tactics v St Mirren and Celtic were just bizarre, Sibbald was clearly his player, and the closest to a holding midfielder we have, but barely got a look after 0-7. And he plays Watt and Fletcher in a top 3, those guys would be slow in walking football, he signed Fletcher so must have had a plan to get support around him. I actually think Mulgrew has been decent for us this season, Watt I just don't rate, but he wasn't fast and didn't score goals last season either. Can you rate Ross after such a short tenure? I don't know, more i think about it he was the popular but not right fit. God know where we go next.

Wouldn't want that smug Hun anywhere near our club if he was the last candidate available.

had to listen to his bias Rangers commentary on Utd matches a few times, never struck me as having great insight either.

Glad to hear fellow Arabs against Kevin Thomson for United job . Like others have said he is too involved with all things newco and is one of them. Stinks of a lack of professionalism for a guy that's wants to forge out a managerial career to be referring to an ex club as "we" . And for by that - I don't understand why he would even be considered for the role - from what he's achieved in his managerial career so far at a very low level.
