    Monarchy is a living museum, harmless relic with no power or authority. A tourist attraction.

    No-one can possibly feel threatened by it and the Queen conducted herself impeccably throughout she'll be missed. RIP.

    More power than you think.After the Glorious Revolution in the late 17th Century it was decided to divide power to prevent further Civil Wars.The Monarch is head of the armed forces but the Government pays for it.Parliament makes laws but Judges swear allegiance to the Crown.The prime Minister has to go to the Palace every week but it is a private meeting so we don't know what advice or criticism given by the Queen / King.

    As an aside to the above,ask any serviceman who he serves and he we tell you the Queen/King.
    Prime Ministers and Governments are constantly changing,the Monarch is there until they die.
